Freedom Pulled Pork

Directions

1. Preheat your pellet grill with GMG Fruitwood Premium Pellets to 200 degrees and let run for about 30 minutes to stabilize and heat the entire grill.

2. Pat dry your pork butt with paper towels. Feel free to trim the pork butt or leave it be.

3. Cover the pork butt in a layer of Killer Hogs A.P. Seasoning and pat into the meat. Next add a liberal layer of Killer Hogs The BBQ Rub and pat into the meat.

4. Place the pork butt directly on the pellet grill grates fat side down, unwrapped, and let cook for 8 hours. If you are doing an overnight cook, make sure the hopper is completely full of pellets.

5. After 8 hours, place a probe in the pork butt and let cook for an additional 2-3 hours. At this point, you can turn up the heat to about 225 degrees. You want to continue to cook the meat until it reaches 190 degrees.

6. Once the meat reached temp, take the pork butt off of the pellet grill and let rest for about 10 minutes. Remove the bone and started pulling the meat apart. It's hot and ready to serve.
