Our Favorite Tailgate Party Foods

Our Favorite Tailgate Party Foods

September is here, and with September comes football, and football means tailgating. So break out your grill and lets whip up some of these incredible tailgate meals!

Pellet Grilled Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

Personally, bacon immediately makes something a winner. But grilled bacon wrapped shrimp? I can’t say no. This is a crazy simple recipe, just 4 ingredients and then pop them on the grill for a few minutes. Then they are done and they are a crazy, mess free finger food. These are a great way to fancy up your tailgate a little bit.

Spuds Supreme Potatoes

Potatoes are a must have at pretty much every event, whether its potato chips, mashed potatoes, or French fries, you just have to have them. When it comes to a tailgate though, some form of French fries are always your best bet. This is a super easy recipe that you can make using your grill. One great thing about this recipe is that it’s so easy to adjust the size based on your party. Depending on how much you make, these are also really easy to make while you are making something else. Another plus is how easily these could be turned into a loaded potato plate. Just follow the recipe and a few minutes before they are done throw on some cheese, bacon, whatever your favorite toppings are, and there you go! Definitely going to be a crowd pleaser.

Cheesy Jalapeno Skillet Dip

Every football party needs a cheese dip, it’s the rule. This recipe is one of my favorites because it’s a twist on a classic food. The jalapenos make it spicy and putting it in your pellet grill gives it such a rich smoky flavor. In the end you get this amazing, creamy, flavorful cheese dip that your guests are going to LOVE.

Pellet Dogs in a Blanket

Pigs in the blanket? A super fun and classic finger food. This is a great, pellet smoked version of pigs in the blanket. One of my favorite parts of this recipe is that its super simple, so it’s really easy to customize to your personal taste, or you can leave them simple and have a variety of toppings for them to be customized later. Also, it’s a great finger food that makes almost no mess, which is always a plus. And its one of the easiest things to make, it will only take you a few minutes and they are so delicious

Smoked Turkey Tacos

Tacos! Tacos are always a winner, and these are no different. This taco recipe is great because it gives you everything you need to make not only the smoked turkey, all of the toppings too. If you decide you don’t like those toppings or you want something else its so easy to customize this recipe too! I love including this recipe because tailgate food is often heavy and this is a nice, lighter option but its still just as delicious.

Sun-Dried Tomato and Bacon Jalapeno Poppers

Do I even need to explain why you need jalapeno poppers? Probably not but I’m going to anyway because these jalapeno poppers are on a whole different level. Tomatoes, bacon, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and so much more! Honestly what else could you ask for in an appetizer. This recipe is a little more time consuming than some of the others are this recipe, but they are definitely worth it.

Jerk Pork Belly Bites

Honestly, you should just take advantage of any excuse you have to make these, they are that good. These take more work than most of the things on this list, but trust me, they will be worth it. Full of rich flavor, this are little bites of happiness. They are a great simple finger food that can really make a splash at your tailgate party.

Pellet Grilled Chicken Wings

Chicken wings, beer, and football go together like peanut butter and jelly. So you have to include chicken wings on your tailgate menu. This is a very easy chicken wing recipe to make incredible wings on your pellet grill. Do a pretty quick marinade and then grill them up. Depending on how you like your wings you can leave them as they are or baste them with a sauce while the cook. Either way you are going to get wings that are crispy and bursting with flavor.

Miami Wings

So if you want to be a little more adventurous with your chicken wings, or you just aren’t sure what flavor to make, this recipe is perfect for you. This recipe includes a marinade and everything you need to make this incredibly delicious wings. The sauce is the spicy enough and full of flavor. It needs to be added to your tailgate menu.

Spicy Chicken Sliders

Spicy Chicken Sliders, I don’t think I really need to explain why this should be on your menu. These are incredible, and they are great for things like football parties because its so easy to make a huge batch of them at one time. This recipe covers everything, even how to make your own pickled red onion if you choose. And in the end you get a simple food that your guests aren’t going to be able to get enough of.

Wood-Fired BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza

If you are having a tailgate party, then chances are you are having some sort of pizza. If you aren’t you should be. This is an easy way to have absolutely incredible pizza without breaking the bank or going through too much work. If you don’t already have our Wood-Fired Pizza Oven you should look into it. It completely changes what all you can do with your grill. If you don’t though this can be done with a pizza stone also. This recipe is great because it gives you all of the toppings you need to make an incredible BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza, but its so easy to just replace those toppings with your favorites and you can still use the general recipe for how to make and cook the pizza. Another great pizza option is, the Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Whichever recipe you choose you won’t regret it.

Well there’s some of our favorite tailgate recipes. Try them out and let us know what you think!
